Aurelia, which takes its name from the jellyfish genus Aurelia Aurita, is a light installation that explores the material and form qualities of a jellyfish. When lit, it seeks to emulate a jellyfish floating up from the black depths of the sea. Constructed from a thin matte acrylic sheet, the joining of components was achieved solely by weaving the material together; an exercise in diminishing waste products in the construction process.
